HOW TO ACCESS REMOTE LEARNING
If you have any questions about remote education please contact your class teacher or the main school office.
EARLY YEARS FOUNDATION STAGE
Access to remote education will include daily Phonics, Maths and English activities shared on Class Dojo. These will be complimented by a weekly paper pack of activities which will focus on key skills. Parents can upload work and evidence of work to the Class Dojo portfolio.
KEY STAGE 1 & KEY STAGE 2
Children have access to a 1:1 iPad at home. All work will be set through Showbie, staff will be available to give live feedback during the times shared on timetables. Each day children will have access to English (Reading and writing), Maths and foundation subjects. To promote structure and healthy minds children will have a Monday Worship shared by our Reverend and also celebration assembly every Friday. Class teachers will allow children to access ‘Class Discussion’ twice weekly to enable them to catch up with friends in a safe and monitored environment.
ENGAGEMENT & FEEDBACK
Teachers will track the engagement with home learning daily. If the children are continuously not accessing home learning contact via phone will be made with parents. The class teacher may also want to speak to the children to encourage them to complete their vital home learning.
LIVE FEEDBACK
Live feedback is available in the timetabled lessons - please see our Showbie support video to see how your child can access support in lessons.
ADDITIONAL SUPPORT
For pupils with particular needs Remote education for self-isolating pupils
When back in school if your child is self-isolating please contact the main school office and your iPad can be collected or dropped off. This will enable the children to access the same work as children currently in school. Children that have additional needs will have their activities and learning adapted by the class teacher after guidance and support from our SENCO & Assistant Principal, Miss Crawley. If your child has additional needs and you require further support please contact your class teacher on Class Dojo.
