VISION AND VALUES

Belgrave St. Bartholomew’s Academy is based on the firm belief that everyone has the potential to achieve and succeed. In our school we work hard to be An Inclusive Family Under God. From the youngest nursery child to the oldest member of staff, everyone is encouraged to learn, grow and develop to reach their full potential.

Our school ethos is underpinned by our three core values, Courage, Compassion and Respect. These values are universal, applicable to individuals of any or no faith. These values sit hand in hand with the core British Values ensuring our children develop into well rounded British Citizens.

The Academy aims to serve its community by providing education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. We seek to encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promote Christian values through the experiences we offer all our pupils. We welcome diversity and have high expectations for everyone to behave with mutual respect for each other regardless of gender, race, religion or economic background. We understand the challenges facing our young learners and do all we can to create a culture of understanding, empathy and safety whilst encouraging everyone to uphold the school values.

We provide an aspirational curriculum to enable everyone to reach their full potential.

THE PARABLE OF THE GOOD SAMARITAN (LUKE 10:25-37)

Our Christian ethos is built around our root story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10). This bible story encapsulates our school values and enables our children to understand how the teachings of Jesus help us to live out our core values of: courage, compassion and respect. Watch the video above to see some of our Year 1 pupils retell the story.

SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT

Belgrave St. Bartholomew's Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the well being of all children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
