CURRICULUM

INTENT

The curriculum at Belgrave provides all children skills, knowledge and opportunities which prepare them for life beyond primary school, regardless of faith, background or social disadvantage. Through a broad and personalised learning programme the children build on prior knowledge and are immersed in subject specific lessons. The children learn the skills to become Historians, Geographers, Scientists, Artists and Designers etc.

Through the use of technology children are able to develop as independent and critical learners, using the technology to support, enhance and showcase their knowledge and understanding.

Children are given every opportunity to reach their full potential through a broad, balanced and sequential curriculum. Language and vocabulary underpins the curriculum to ensure all learners, including EAL, make progress.
